Programs for Teachers in Catholic Schools

The Broken Bay Institute (BBI) works in partnership with many Catholic Education Offices across Australia.  Our mode of course delivery offers teachers a number of ways of meeting RE Accreditation requirements and of pursuing further study in Theology, Scripture, Liturgy, Spirituality and Catholic Social Teaching.  As well as distance mode, a large number of course units may be offered as Intensives throughout the year. (See Academic Calendar).

We are able to cater for the specific requirements of CSOs/CEOs by packaging course units and presenting these in local and rural areas across Australia.   BBI has entered into a number of arrangements with diocesan organisations to provide a specific program for teachers leading to a Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies or the Graduate Diploma of Arts.  These are currently being taught as two two-day sessions or a three or four day program.

BBI is expanding its’ tradition of providing for the needs of teachers in Catholic schools.  The highly regarded Ministry for Teachers programs, established and presented by Bishop David Walker are available through BBI and may be studied for credit as PT443 Ministry for Teachers in Catholic Schools.

Schools may also contact the BBI for other staff formation opportunities.
