Leading Ecclesial Communities: Foundations, Challenges & Possibilities

Academic Unit

LEAD803 Leading Ecclesial Communities: Foundations, Challenges & Possibilities is an academic unit in BBI-TAITE's Leadership & Theology discipline and is equivalent to 10 credit points towards postgraduate study.

The unit is offered in blended mode, comprising an intensive two-day, face-to-face seminar which will equate to six weekly topic areas during the two days - half the unit. The same seminar will be delivered in the following locations:

The remaining six weekly topic areas to complete the unit, will be available online. The two-day seminar will be filmed and made available to academic students by week three of Trimester 2.  

The academic unit fee is $2,000 and includes participation in the seminar (in Brisbane, Sydney or Wagga Wagga), readings, handouts, online coursework and full assessment of coursework for academic credit.

BBI-TAITE Students

If you are a BBI-TAITE student enrolled in any discipline (Leadership & Theology; Religious Education, Theological Studies; or Governance & Canon Law) at any level of study (Graduate Certificate; Graduate Diploma or Master's level), you may apply to do this unit, subject to your academic program, please call Student Administration to confirm: 02 9847 0030.   

Cross-Institutional Students

If you are currently studying in Australia or overseas at another higher education institution, you can apply to enrol into this unit as a cross-institutional student, subject to your institution's approval. You will participate in the seminar and online study, be fully assessed and receive full academic credit upon completion of the unit. Please call Student Administration for further information on how to proceed: 02 9847 0030.

Single-Unit Enrolment Students (Non Award Enrolment)

You may enrol into this academic unit only, and not into the whole academic award or course  (Graduate Certificate or Diploma or Masters). You will participate in the seminar and online study, be fully assessed and receive full academic credit upon completion of the unit. There is no obligation to do more units. This option may be valuable for those needing additional professional accreditation with their employer. Please call Student Administration to find out more about enrolling: 02 9847 0030.

Audit with Full Access

You may wish to enrol into the academic unit, which includes attendance at one of the seminars (Sydney, Brisbane, Wagga Wagga) and access to BBI's learning platform (Know-TAITE Blackboard) without assessment. All Academic Students

If you attend the seminar but later, wish to withdraw from the academic unit, you will still be liable and charged the seminar fee. You must withdraw from the unit before the census date (13 August 2018). This applies whether you are a BBI-TAITE student, cross-institutional student or single-unit enrolment student.

 

Professional Development Seminar

Leading Ecclesial Communities: Foundations, Challenges & Possibilities can be completed as a professional development short course without enrolling into the academic award or course and without having to complete the assessments.
