Charles Waddell moved to Perth to take up a job in Medical Anthropology at the University of Western Australia in 1975, after receiving his doctorate in the USA.

After twenty-three great years there, Charles went to the Beda College, Rome, to study for the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Perth. He received an STB and STL (Summa) from the Angelicum.

After ordination, he served in parishes in the Goldfields, Tennant Creek and in Perth. He publishes in anthropology and theology – just this month (July 2014) he published, Jesus Matters (www.stpauls.com.au).

He has a passion for adult faith education and lives with his blind dog, Prego. Charles has a son, Gregory. Greg lives in Melbourne with his wife, Megan, and are expecting their first child.
