From the Editor's desk

‘What makes a moral person?’ is our focus this edition. How do you see it? What thoughts, quotes, songs or sayings come to your mind as you make the ‘big’ decisions, and the everyday ones?

And for a Christian? What Scripture stories or passages come to mind for you? Do you subscribe to the First Testament’s An eye for an eye or the Ten Commandments? Perhaps your lodestar is The Beatitudes or the Gifts and Fruits of the Spirit.

Living A Musical Life: The Beauty Of Morality

by Dr Dan Fleming

It’s not often that we put the words ‘beautiful’ and ‘morality’ next to one another. More typically we associate morality with boredom, rigidness, a lack of creativity, and anything-but-fun. We’re also accustomed to think of morality as something to do with this or that action (the way I treated that person was morally good, or that action I committed was morally wrong).

To Reveal Your Mysteries To And Through Mere Children

by Dr Margaret Ng

It has been said in the past that it takes a village to raise a child.  Unfortunately, today, it takes the Global Village to Raise a Child. Raising a child today includes feeding, educating and, above all, protecting him/her from harm. We must play our part as members of the Global Village in this work of protecting children.

Vietnam Experience: Thanks for your PRESENCE!

by Dr Catherine Thom, RSJ

Recently I spent five weeks teaching English and Church History in two seminaries in the Nha Trang Diocese in Vietnam. On the map it is about fifty minutes flight from Ho Chi Minh City. The Vietnamese students were wonderful, thoughtful and enthusiastic to learn. The location, opposite miles of beautiful beaches, was an incentive for me to spend weekends there.
