Fr Paul Maloney, OSA is a native Sydney-sider, who has travelled far from home due to his joining an Order of Mendicant Friars where such wandering from place to place is taken for granted. He is currently the Parish Priest of North Harbour Catholic Community in the Diocese of Broken Bay.
He was ordained at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Washington DC in 1965 just as the 2nd Vatican Council was concluding.
Before his return to Australia he completed his Graduate studies at Villanova University, U.S.A., and subsequently obtained a Diploma in Education from the University of New England, Armidale.
From his initial experience of teaching in Augustinian Secondary Colleges in Sydney and Brisbane he has, over the past 30 years, been involved in nurturing the spiritual life of Adult Laity and Religious whom he has welcomed into his Retreat Houses and Meditation Centres located serially in Brisbane, Newcastle and the Parramatta Diocese.
The focus of his teaching has been the spirituality of St. Augustine as an always fresh way of meeting Christ in every age.
