Spring Intensive Trimester

Through an exciting new study pathway, Catholic school staff attending the 2018 National Religious Education Symposium can have their participation recognised towards an academic unit in a Spring Intensive Trimester (September 2018).

Leverage the learning experience and fast-track accreditation

By attending this key event on the Religious Education calendar, school staff can fast-track their way to attaining accreditation to teach in a Catholic school or accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school, by enrolling in REDU802: Religious Education Symposium.

REDU802: RE Symposium has the same study requirements as a regular 12 week Trimester but runs over six weeks, allowing students to fast-track their studies. Spring trimester starts on 13 September (the first day of the symposium) and ends 28 October 2018.  (Census date is 22 September.)

This unit is credited into the BBI-TAITE Graduate Certificate in Religious Education, which fulfills accreditation requirements to teach in a Catholic school or to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.

Only another three units are needed to attain the Graduate Certificate, which can be completed 100% online and part-time.

REDU802: RE Symposium articulates into the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Religious Education, Leadership & Theology, Theological Studies and Governance & Canon Law (see Higher Education).

Streamlined study to meet the needs of teachers

This streamlined delivery is tailored to meet the needs of busy teachers with a mid-trimester break timed to coincide with the Spring school holidays, allowing teachers time to complete their assignments, free from the daily demands of marking and lesson preparation.
