Choosing where to study is about more than finding the right qualification. It is about finding a learning community that understands your goals, your circumstances and the difference you want to make.
At BBI-TAITE, we provide flexible, fully online higher education in a Catholic context, designed for adults who want to deepen their knowledge, strengthen their professional practice and grow in their faith.
Whether you are a teacher, school leader, ministry worker, professional or simply seeking to deepen your understanding of Catholic theology and faith, BBI-TAITE offers a flexible way to pursue meaningful higher education without putting your life on hold.
Why BBI – TAITE?

Flexible study. Catholic education. Recognised qualifications.
BBI-TAITE offers a different approach to higher education. Our programs are designed for adult learners and delivered fully online, giving you the flexibility to study wherever you are in Australia.

Our online model means you do not need to relocate or attend a physical campus to undertake your studies.
Fit study around your life
Our flexible approach is designed for people balancing work, family, ministry and other commitments.
Study from anywhere in Australia
Online learning makes higher education more accessible to students in metropolitan, regional and rural communities.
Learn in a Catholic context
Engage with theology, spirituality, religious education, leadership and ministry through a distinctly Catholic educational tradition.
Earn recognised higher education qualifications
BBI-TAITE is a Member College of the Australian University College of Divinity (AUCD), a TEQSA-accredited Australian University College. Through this partnership, BBI-TAITE delivers recognised higher education awards within the Australian higher education sector, supported by AUCD’s shared curriculum and academic governance framework.

Be part of a supportive learning environment
Although your studies are online, you are not studying alone. Our academic and professional staff are available to support you throughout your studies.
Study Online. Fit Study Around Your Life.

Your study needs to work with your life—not the other way around.
Life is busy. Many of our students are already working, raising families, serving in schools and parishes, or contributing to their communities.
BBI-TAITE’s fully online approach allows you to undertake higher education without having to step away from the responsibilities that matter to you.
Whether you are a Catholic school teacher completing further study, a professional looking to develop your leadership skills, a ministry worker deepening your theological understanding, or someone returning to study after many years, online learning can provide the flexibility you need.
You can study from home, from work or wherever your circumstances allow. For students living outside metropolitan areas, online delivery also removes the need to travel to a campus or relocate for study.
Learn From Experienced Academics and Practitioners

Learn from people who understand both scholarship and practice.
Your education is shaped by the people who teach you. At BBI-TAITE, you will learn from academics and experienced practitioners with expertise across theology, religious education, Catholic education, leadership, ministry and canon law.
Our academic staff bring substantial experience from universities, Catholic education, schools, dioceses, ministry and professional leadership. Their backgrounds include theological scholarship as well as practical experience in the communities and organisations in which our students work.
This combination of academic knowledge and professional experience helps connect your studies with the questions, challenges and opportunities you encounter in your own work and vocation.
You are not simply learning about ideas—you are exploring how they can inform your professional practice, leadership, ministry and service.
Study Theology in a Catholic Context

Go deeper into faith, theology and mission.
For many students, studying theology is not simply an academic pursuit. It is an opportunity to deepen faith, ask significant questions and better understand the Church’s mission in the world.
BBI-TAITE provides higher education within a Catholic context, enabling students to engage deeply with Catholic theology, Scripture, spirituality, religious education, leadership, ministry and the life of the Church.
Our programs are designed to connect academic study with the realities of Catholic schools, parishes, dioceses, health and welfare organisations and other Catholic institutions.
Whether you are looking to strengthen your professional practice, prepare for a leadership role, support religious education or deepen your own theological understanding, your studies can become part of a broader journey of faith, formation and service.
Flexible Pathways to Your Qualification

Your previous learning can help you move forward.
At BBI-TAITE, our awards and courses are designed as nested pathways, meaning that qualifications build on one another. Successful completion of earlier study can contribute towards a further qualification, reducing the number of units you need to complete.
Your previous learning may also be recognised.
Depending on your circumstances and the requirements of your course, you may be eligible for credit for:
- previous study completed at BBI-TAITE
- relevant study completed at another recognised institution
- relevant professional learning and experience
- leadership or professional experience that meets the requirements for Recognition of Prior Learning.
Recognition of prior learning can reduce the amount of study required to complete your qualification, potentially saving both time and cost.
We assess applications for credit and Recognition of Prior Learning on an individual basis and in accordance with the requirements of the relevant award.
Qualifications That Support Your Career and Vocation
Put your learning into practice.
Your reason for studying may be professional, personal, vocational—or a combination of all three.
BBI-TAITE’s programs are designed to support students in developing knowledge and skills that can be applied in their professional and ministry contexts.
Depending on your area of study, this may include:
Religious Education
Develop your knowledge and understanding to support the teaching of Religious Education in Catholic education settings.
Leadership and Theology
Explore leadership through the lens of Scripture, theology, mission and contemporary organisational challenges.
Theological Studies
Deepen your understanding of theology and Catholic identity and apply that knowledge in schools, parishes and other Catholic organisations.
Governance and Canon Law
Develop knowledge relevant to the governance of contemporary Catholic institutions and the requirements of Canon Law.
Personal and professional development
Expand your knowledge, strengthen your confidence and engage more deeply with the ideas that inform your work, faith and vocation.
BBI-TAITE currently offers nested award pathways across Religious Education, Theological Studies, Leadership and Theology, and Governance and Canon Law.
