Catholic Faith and Science

Catholic Faith and Science

In Catholic Faith and Science, we will consider the relationship between faith and science. What does the Catholic Church say about the relationship between faith and science? How are we to approach topics like evolution and the Big Bang theory in our classrooms? How do we engage pupils in conversation about this relationship and why is it important to do so?

This unit is designed to inform you about the major debates between the disciplinary views and methods of theology and science, with a particular focus on Christianity. Where relevant we will refer to other traditions.
