Academic Staff

Greg is an Executive Secretary with the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, Canberra, serving on the Bishops Commission for Social Justice, Mission and Service, and the Bishops Commission for Relations with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Greg previously served under two bishops as canonical administrator, for the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, and the Maronite Eparchy of Australia and New Zealand. Greg is a former dual-certificate Registered Nurse (NSW; General and Intensive Care Nursing), senior executive and company director in Catholic and private health, aged care, and social services. In a first for the Australian Catholic Church, Greg worked on behalf of BBI-The Australian Institute of Theological Education in 2015 – 2016 to secure the delivery of tertiary canon law studies to Australian students, in partnership with St Paul University, Ottawa, Canada. He has Masters degrees in theology (University of Newcastle | Broken Bay Institute) and business (Charles Sturt University) and has a special research interest in the theology of episcopal governance, and Catholic Social Teaching. He is a parishioner of St Michael’s Catholic Church, Nelson Bay, NSW.
