Catholic Identity Courses

Catholic Identity Courses

The Catholic Identity Courses are an online program supporting those in Catholic mission, health and aged care, and leadership. Each course offers eight 2-hour modules completed over nine weeks at the learner’s own pace, with no live sessions. The series includes:

  • Introduction to Mission, exploring personal and professional commitment to God’s dream for creation.
  • Decoding the Code, strengthening ethical formation for leaders in health and aged care or education settings.
  • Catholic Social Teaching, which provides a strong foundation in Catholic Social Justice for authentic responses to contemporary issues.

Professional Development Courses

Professional Development Courses offers accredited learning opportunities designed to support professionals, especially teachers, in deepening their understanding and confidence in being a part of a Catholic School as well as teaching Religious Education. These courses are also ideal for parishioners who are in leadership roles in parishes, or dioceses who want to deepen their knowledge and commitment to Catholic thought and the biblical tradition.

Each course provides up to 8 hours of professional learning credit toward accreditation to teach Religious Education.

Adult Faith Courses

Adult Faith Online Courses are a series of short, online courses which focus on aspects of our faith and require reading, listening and reflection.

Like a book club, you can discuss ideas in an online community or create your own adult faith study group. Adult Faith Courses can also be used for staff accreditation of both teaching and non-teaching personnel in Catholic schools.

Catholic Correspondence Courses

Catholic Correspondence Courses provide non-academic adult faith education to students across Australia by distance education. Students can do as many or as few courses as they wish. Each course is an independent unit, although it is recommended to do an introductory unit before embarking on more detailed work.
