Bishop Walker established the Centre for Christian Spirituality over 40 years ago. It provided the foundation for the establishment and incorporation of BBI- TAITE.
Previously, Bishop Walker was member of the Ecumenical Commission of the Archdiocese of Sydney, the NSW Ecumenical Council, the Australian Catholic Theological Association, and the Committee for the Continuing Education of the Clergy. He was a Permanent Committee Member of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference (ACBC); a member of the Bishops’ Commission for Education; a member of the Bishops’ Commission for Mission and Faith Formation; and Chairperson of the Catholic Education Commission NSW.
Bishop Walker was Chair of the ACBC for Church Ministry and Member of the ACBC Commission for Health and Community Services.
Bishop Walker is a founding member of BBI-TAITE in 2012 and a director since that time.
