Dear students and members of the BBI-TAITE community
It is important to update you on the response of BBI-TAITE to the COVID-19 virus. As an online provider, in many ways it remains business as usual. This is one of the benefits of online study, perhaps not foreseen by any of us!
However there are a few things to keep you informed and updated. Our staff are working from home and they will continue with the support and encouragement you have come to expect, and are available through email. As well, staff office phones have been reset to mobile numbers, so your calls will be answered directly.
In response to the COVID-19 Level 2 restrictions announced on 24th March, the BBI-TAITE physical library will be closed from midnight 25th March until further notice. Online library access is still available.
If you have been disadvantaged by the events surrounding the virus please let us know. In this we recognize that a lot of stress is falling on school communities in particular. The Institute is keen to provide the best learning environment at all times, even during the current hardships, so please let us know if you are having difficulties or need extra time to complete tasks. A more generous extension process has been put in place, and will be managed by our Registrar Cheryl Martin whose contact details are email@example.com or 02 9847 0030 / 02 9847 0540. There is time during the mid-session break for catch-up if needed.
Unfortunately we will have to cancel or postpone a number of events. We will keep you informed about these as the details are finalized over the next few days. It is imperative that we enable students and staff to avoid extra travel, time away from home, mixing in small groups, and returning from events with the possibility of spreading the virus.
Again, if you are encountering difficulties or have questions please be in contact.
