She has served as Head of Religious Education in various Catholic secondary schools, and in the School of Religious Education at Australian Catholic University for seventeen years. Over this period she successfully supervised numerous doctoral students.
Her PhD focused on needs in teacher education for religious education for Catholic Schools. Kath’s publications in this field are numerous and in particular she is one of the authors of the acclaimed series of religious education textbooks To Know Worship and Love. Her latest academic book, published by Blooms bury, London was Catholic Schools and the Future of the Church.
Kath is married with four adult children. In 2016 her first work of fiction, Red Dirt Odyssey, was published by Atlas Productions.
