Academic Staff

Professor Gerard Moore, the Principal/CEO of BBI-TAITE, has taught widely and published extensively in the areas of worship and liturgical spirituality. He has created and delivered course material from Certificate IV to doctoral level. In terms of research and publications, his most recent books are Earth Unites with Heaven: an introduction to the Liturgical Year (Melbourne: Morning Star 2014), and The Disciples at the Lord’s Table: Prayers over Bread and Cup across 150 Years of Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) (Eugene: Wipf and Stock, 2015). His seminal work on the collects of the Roman Missal is being republished in a new completely revised edition during 2020. Gerard is a member of the Charles Sturt University Public and Contextual Theology Research Centre, and as a specialist in liturgy he has been involved with the International Commission for English in the Liturgy (ICEL), and a range of ecclesial Australian worship bodies.

Gerard has wide experience in tertiary leadership and administration, with his various posts including Director (Research) Sydney College of Divinity, and Head of the School of Theology, Charles Sturt University.
