Issues with Incorporation of Church Entities

In recent times more and more church entities are being established or reconfigured as incorporated entities. This presentation will outline some of the issues and challenges that rise from incorporation. It will outline the canon law relating to administration of temporal goods in way that are valid in civil law. It will then discuss the types of incorporation and their suitability for different types of church entity, raise some of the risks that need to be identified and mitigated, and explain the obligations on those who are directors and officers of incorporated entities.
